Lingham's was born in 1908. The business was started by an Indian national of the same name. The business was sold to a Chinese family in 1945 after the second world war. After a number of changes, the present company Lingham & Son (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1971. Since then, we have maintained ourselves as one of the leading chilli sauce manufacturers in the country. We are currently located in the Mak Mandin Industrial Area, Butterworth, Malaysia where we manufacture our very own exclusive and unique range of chilli sauces.

Our present day flagship product, Lingham's Chilli Sauce, was first manufactured in 1908 during the British Colonial era to pamper to the delights of the English masters. This exotic, unique versatile, sweet and spicy sauce is now a common household name in Malaysia, Singapore and some countries that we export to. It is a common contention that, once you have tasted Lingham's Chilli Sauce, you would not want any other chilli sauce. In the USA, Lingham’s Chilli Sauce is known as Lingham’s Hot Sauce.

The exquisite flavour of Lingham's Chilli Sauce stems from a secret and traditional recipe which has been preserved over the years. Its ingredients continue to be red chilli, sugar, vinegar and salt. It contains no preservatives, colouring matter, artificial flavours or bulking material like tomato puree. As such, it is clearly in a class of its own and can truly boast that there is no other chilli sauce like it in any other part of the world. It has its own niche market.

Our constant efforts on stringent quality control procedures and improvement on our products have resulted in four variants of Lingham's Chilli Sauce. They are Lingham's Chilli Sauce with Ginger, Lingham's Chilli Sauce with Garlic, Lingham's Chilli Sauce with Ginger & Garlic and Lingham’s Thai Chilli Sauce. These four variants also boast our claim of 100% red chilli and natural ingredients. We have also developed a number of other Lingham products. All our products are halal.

Lingham’s is now sold in over 20 countries. Our worldwide distribution network now spans the United Kingdom, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Chile, Ukraine, Singapore and South Africa.
